E4. Two separate events were organized, one physical and one virtual on the 5th and on the 6th of February respectively. The events focused on multiplying the results of the project (R1-R4) and fostering collaborative discussions among the participants.
The physical event was held in one of the auditoriums of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) and the virtual held via zoom.
The two events targeted a total of 62 participants (32 for the physical event, 30 for the virtual). Both events brought together a diverse range of participants and stakeholders such as professors, researchers and students from Higher Education Institutes, biotech, agrifood, retail business and financial institution representatives.
The events kicked off with registration, followed by a welcome speech and a presentation on the funding program and project objectives. After a short coffee break followed the presentations on GreenBE's results (R4, R2, R1, and R3). After lunch break, participants engaged in a practical simulation in the GreenBE portal, followed by a networking session. The events wraped up with a feedback/evaluation session and final discussions and conclusions, offering a dynamic interaction among all the participants and stakeholders involved.
Another key was to foster collaboration among participants. The intention was to create a conducive environment by bringing together Biotech professionals, educators, students, leaders from the Biotech industry, green entrepreneurs, and mentors. The event served as a platform for extensive knowledge sharing, not only in terms of project outcomes but also in broader subject areas. For both educators and industry professionals, the multiplier events aimed to provide a forum for professional development.
Attendees could gain insights into emerging trends, best practices, and the latest advancements in Biotech and Economic Higher Education.
Both events successfully achieved their goals of disseminating the project, multiplying its results and generating interest and potential collaborations for future projects. The participants acknowledged the project’s partners effort in developing an innovative and comprehensive framework for green mentorship and education in the biotech sector. Moreover, discussions were sparked among the different stakeholders, issues were raised and points were heard regarding the current state of green entrepreneurship, the potential of the biotech sector and the overall impact a greener approach might have on the future of business. Lastly the networking sessions were a great opportunity for the participants to exchange their views and experiences.
